Personal Bio
My name is Adam Kuehn, and I am a student at Eastern Michigan University majoring in Secondary Special Education with a minor in Secondary Physical Education. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan which is where I played competitive travel soccer for over 12 years. At Saline High School, I played soccer for 3 years and ran track & field for a year. While I am not nearly as active as I was in my high school days, I try to either run, go to the gym or play a sport (i.e. football, basketball, soccer) at least 5-7 times a week. Through my actions, I try to be a positive role model for kids, peers, and adults. These actions include eating a healthy, balanced diet and engaging in daily physical activity.
Professional Background
During the summer, I work as a staff member at the Hornet Camp, a summer camp for students with disabilities, in Saline, MI. I hope to start my student teaching a year from now. I have some experience as an assistant coach for youth football and soccer and working with kids has always been a passion of mine. My goal as a future physical education teacher is to inspire youth to be excited to engage in physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
